Sherlock App

Bicycle theft is big business in Europe –in London alone, it is estimated that around 20,000 bicycles are stolen every year – and these are just the reported thefts… Sherlock provides a turnkey antitheft solution for all type of bicycles, giving cyclists an additional security and an effective mean to recover them if stolen!

The Sherlock antitheft solution is designed to be very compact, small and easy to install. And it’s invisible to the would-be bicycle thief! – as it can be hidden inside the handlebars, making it very hard for the would-be thief to detect!

However, Sherlock is also more than a GPS-enabled anti-theft device incorporated in a bike - it also provides an integrated service of software and local authorities support to monitor and find stolen bikes’ location.

When the cyclist activates it with the Sherlock’s mobile app, the device is uniquely connected to the user and the bicycle profile. If the bike gets stolen, the user receives an immediate alert on his smartphone and the police can access the bike info and tracking on Sherlock’s database. Once the bicycle is rescued the cyclist can demonstrate its ownership with the device and app.

Sherlock is developed in Turin, Italy, but aims at the international market. The tracker will be available for sales via eCommerce and shipped globally. Sherlock was first showcased at the London Bike Show in February 2016 and the team was selected for the Google Launchpadx hyper accelerator week at the London Google Campus in April.
